Do problems in life come all at once?

In the midst of 2020 Coronavirus pandemic I have been watching more Netflix than usual. Recently I stumbled upon a Korean show called Strangers from hell.  It's about this guy who arrives in Seoul from a small town in South Korea and as soon as he arrives his laptop gets damaged. This causes some financial trouble for him, which sets off a series of events that ends up turning his life upside down. I have always admired Korean movies and shows for having a stronger touch with reality than movies/shows from other parts of the world. One of the things in the show that I could relate to was how one hardship often leads to another one and then another and many more.

This lead me to some introspection on life. What I realized is that when we are faced with a set back, it is very important to make sure that set back doesn't spill over to any other part of life. This at times would mean working extra hard to make up for the loss. And at other times it might just mean forgiving yourself (or others). And sometimes little bit of both.

Coming to think of it, a set back in life is like the first piece of a domino falling. If we are too focused on that first piece, what we are risking is the toppling of all those additional pieces ahead.
